Wellbeing

Consumers are concerned with their heath and the health of individuals they associate with. At PG Group, this issue is addressed through the use of products that are non-toxic for purchasers and the ecosystem.

The varnish applied to flooring boards contains a microbial inhibitor that destroys or inhibits the growth of bacteria, mould, viruses and parasites.

100 % UV curing ensures that no particles or volatile compounds are released into the ambient air. Solvent, formaldehyde and VOC (volatile organic contaminant) content in products used to finish flooring boards do not present any risk of pollutant emission or danger to human health. However, sometimes additives used may contain solvents, but these are well below accepted thresholds. The Quebec standard for volatile organic contaminants is 580 grams per litre and the GS-11 standard is between 50 to 200 grams per litre. Following verification of all products used in the finishing process, VOC content does not exceed 10 grams per litre of products.
