Five-year Commercial Warranty

Model offers the original purchaser a five-year warranty against wear on all products manufactured as of April 1, 2005. This warranty covers commercial projects subject to light traffic and not located near entranceways leading outdoors or offering access to streets.

The warranty against wear excludes damage caused by water, use of a wet mop, lack of maintenance, negligence, marks made by blows, accidents, scratches, furniture, house pets, high-heeled shoes, erosion, grit, sand or other abrasive substances, extreme environmental conditions, lack of preventive measures or improper protection. In order for coverage to apply, totally worn-out areas must extend over at least 10% of the entire floor. Loss of lustre is not considered as wear.

The warranty applies only to flooring installed in compliance with the Model™ installation and maintenance guide. In order to benefit from the warranty, the purchaser must comply with maintenance instructions in the guide and follow preventive measures in Model™ residential warranty guidelines.

Use of cleaning products other than those designed especially for Model prefinished hardwood flooring may damage the flooring and automatically invalidate the warranty.
